The platform “Culture helps culture” is an initiative of the Kulturrat NRW and is intended to help refugee artists and cultural workers from the Ukraine to find their way in the cultural life of North Rhine-Westphalia. We’re looking for short stories to tell children

German director Franz Böhm, who is currently living and working in the UK, started an initiative for storytelling: The Royal Navy is in need of stories they can tell to children while long waiting processes at border and paper controls, so he is being reported by a soldier he is in close contact with. Many children don’t really have anything to do while their parents are involved in those processes. Often they ask soldiers on the ground to entertain them. Solidarity Residencies in Finland

Solidarity Residencies in Finland are available for Ukrainian Artists. To address the catastrophic situation in Ukraine a group of independent art organisations have joined together to pool resources and share information to provide residencies as well as to work together to build diverse and extensive networks of solidarity. Nostos – Help Desk for Ukrainian Citizens in Greece

NOSTOS, a non governmental organization against social exclusion and unemployment, began the operation of a help desk for Ukrainian citizens that have arrived in Greece.It offers information on access to necessary legal procedures and rights in Greece in accordance to the directions of the Greek Authorities. Legal, social and psychological support, as well as support for finding accommodation and/or job is also provided. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 19:00 either by phone or after appointment. European film associations support Ukrainian actors

aktorky-ta-aktory.org is a digital home for professional actresses and actors from Ukraine – created “by actors for actors” together with key professional associations from across the European film industry.  The main goal of the initiative is to provide visibility to actresses and actors from Ukraine who, had to leave their home because of the terrible war, and to show solidarity and support in these difficult times. Fellowships to Support Ukrainian Scholars, Artists and Intellectuals from Institut für die Wissenschaft vom Menschen Vienna

Recognizing the need for urgent support of Ukraine’s intellectual community, the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM, Vienna) and the Ukrainian Research Institute at Harvard University (HURI) are partnering to offer non-residential fellowships for Ukrainian scholars, cultural figures, and public intellectuals. These fellowships provide a one-time stipend of 5000 EUR to support recipients’ intellectual activities. Preference will be given to applicants who intend to or must remain in Ukraine for legal, professional, or personal reasons. The IWM is also offering non-residential fellowships for Ukrainian scholars, journalists, cultural figures, and public intellectuals who are documenting the war and its consequences.
