The team behind this project, works with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece and also in collaboration with Filmmakers-for-Ukraine, powered by Crew United. ‘’Ukrainian Filmmakers in Greece’’ invite film professionals to fill out their form in order to be able to gather information about the Ukrainian filmmakers who try to find work and network in Greece. Every day, convoys of 10 to 25 vehicles travel to several locations on the Ukrainian border to bring people in need of protection to pre-selected host families in a single trip without detours. The main focus is on women, children and seniors traveling alone. On this way also medicines, foodstuffs as well as specifically requested relief supplies are brought to the borders. Drivers are always needed, as well as host families who can offer refugees a place to stay.

Federal point of contact for refugees with disabilities and/or care needs

The federal point of contact mediates and coordinates supply and demand for newly arriving refugees from the Ukraine with disabilities and/or care needs. The aim of the “Bundeskontaktstelle” is to create transparency about the needs of refugees from Ukraine with disabilities and/or care needs, e.g. by collecting specific information around care needs and/or degrees of disability from the evacuating organizations before they arrive in Germany. Furthermore, it supports the 16 state coordination points in finding appropriate accommodation by forwarding the needs identified in advance to the states at an early stage.

Lithuania host Ukrainian Film Days to support Ukrainian filmmakers

On 10-11 and 14 May, Lithuania will host Ukrainian Film Days, during which the audience will be presented some of the most interesting works by Ukrainian filmmakers of recent years, telling about humanity, complex feelings, experiences in the face of war, and hope. Ukrainian Film Days are organized by the Lithuanian Film Centre, in support of the initiative of the Ukraine relief fund CinemaAid to hold marathons of films by Ukrainian filmmakers around the world.
