“Gazeta Wyborcza” Foundation has joined the group of organizations supporting Ukraine. Together with its partners it has established a Fund for Ukrainian Media and is conducting a special collection for this purpose.
The Fund was joined by media and journalism organizations from Europe: Bonnier News , Swedish Media Publishers’ Association and T4 TV from Sweden, Danish Newspapers Association from Denmark, Finnish Media Federation, News Media Finland, Sanoma Media Finland, A-lehdet Oy and HSS Media from Finland and Norwegian Media Businesses’ Association from Norway and Leading European Newspapers Alliance. The Fund was also supported by private donors.
The funds raised will be used to purchase equipment necessary for journalists working in war zones, provide financial support to journalist and media organizations in Ukraine, and relocate journalists to Poland and other EU countries. To this end, we will cooperate with media and organizations across Europe.
