Ukrainian films and projects at the Warsaw Film Festival 2022

During the 38th edition of the Warsaw Film Festival, events in support of Ukraine and its artists will be held on October 20 and 21, organized under the banner of “Ukraine Day.” The planned initiatives are an expression of solidarity of the Warsaw Film Festival and the Polish film community with Ukraine and support for Ukrainian artists. The events will pay special attention to the condition of the Ukrainian film market.

On October 20, there will be a panel discussion “Cooperation between Ukraine and Poland,” with the participation of Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zwarych; director of the Warsaw Film Festival Stefan Laudyn, head of the Ukrainian State Film Agency Marina Kuderchuk; head of the Polish Film Institute Radoslaw Smigulski; director of the Polish Film Academy and vice president of the European Producers Club Dariusz Jablonski.

Also on this day, a presentation of Ukrainian projects at various stages of production is planned. The event will be attended by director Arkadii Neputalyuk, producer and member of the Polish Film Academy Marek Nowowiejski, producer and general director of Film.ua Group Victoria Yarmoshchuk, executive director of the Ukrainian Film Academy and general director of the Odessa International Film Festival Anna Machukh, producer and head of the civic organization Andriy Nogin.

The following day, October 21, there will be a presentation of Ukrainian and Polish film projects at stages from development to post-production. A dozen projects will be presented by their authors.

The Warsaw Film Festival takes place from October 14 to 23. The guest of the WFF is Odesa International Film festival, which presents the Ukrainian Competition – screenings at the Atlantic Cinema from October 18-23.
