One last place to The Moon Gallery is available for a Ukrainian artist displaced in Netherlands. Precious professional experience in the creative industry is required. The Moon Gallery Foundation invites a Ukrainian cultural worker, artist or curator with an interdisciplinary background to express his/her talent for the Artists-at-Risk: Essence of Home residency program. Applicants should be confident about their storytelling abilities, have a proactive, curious and bold spirit, and willing to take responsibility for the final results.
The residency consists in a part-time programme for research, experimentation and creative advancement. In the same time the resident will be able to integrate into the Dutch socio-cultural scene. While preparing the payload for the 2025 lunar launch, the resident can take part to lectures, workshops and other opportunities provided by partnering institutions to inform and inspire his/hers creative process. Eventually, he/she can create an artwork to be sent to the Moon!
The central themes of the gallery are multicultural cooperation and adaptation to new environments. The objective of the residency is to become a safe space for Ukrainian artists and curators to explore the state of the world and their place in it, while working with the Moon Gallery to explore its core themes.
