The Croatian City of Osijek prepared and unveiled a reception centre for Ukrainian refugees. Located in South Hall 2, the centre will temporarily accommodate those fleeing the country and provide them with food, medical aid, and psychosocial assistance.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb announced that it is offering Ukrainian veterinary students the chance to continue their studies for free in either English or Croatian. Alternatively, they can complete parts of their studies at Zagreb’s veterinary faculty as part of a student exchange programme. Besides helping refugees access and continue their education, the faculty will also allow students to complete clinical practice and work at its clinics. Furthermore, it will provide students in need of assistance with both academic and psychological counselling.

Traveling by train to Budapest has changed greatly since 21st of March 2022 if you are a Ukrainian Refugee. The process will not longer take place in railway stations but in the BOK sports hall (formerly known as Syma Hall) . The Hungarian Athletics Federation has made the BOK sports hall available to care for the refugees. As of Monday, 21st of March, the defence committee of Budapest has set up a new transit shelter there.

A group of about 200 people has been at the forefront of assisting refugees who have arrived in Iceland from Ukraine, following Russia’s invasion of their country. Roughly 300 refugees have already arrived. The man coordinating the efforts is physician, musician and entrepreneur Sveinn Rúnar Sigurðsson. Shelter for refugees at Guðrúnartún 8, Reykjavík, last week, where dinner is served four nights a week.
