Special Screenings and donations by the Ukrainian Film Festival in Berlin

Ukrainian Film Festival Berlin is starting a series of special screenings of Ukrainian cinema to support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people during the ongoing war.

The Earth is Blue as an Orange by Iryna Tsilyk (2020) and Stop – Zemlia by Kateryna Gornostai (2021) will be screened in Berlin (March 21st, March 22nd) and Leipzig (April 5th, April 12th), respectively.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the fundraising campaign for a group of Ukrainian filmmakers who are currently on the ground in Ukraine, capturing the Russian invasion and the heroism of their fellow citizens on camera. All money raised by the campaign will directly benefit a group of 13 award-winning Ukrainian filmmakers along with cinematographers and producers who are on the ground. They’re filming fleeing and citizens heroically resisting. They are putting themselves in danger because their work is too important to ignore.
