The Kassel Arthouse Cinemas show solidarity to Ukraine. On Friday, 25 March at 20:15 a benefit event will take place in the cinema Gloria. All the proceeds will go to the filmmakers and to aid organizations that support refugees in Kassel and local people in Ukraine.
The cinema will present a screening of the Ukrainian tragicomedy My Thoughts Are Silent by Antonio Lukich (2019). The film will screen in its original language with English subtitles. As a pre-screening, the team from the Kassel arthouse cinemas has also put together a collection of short films by filmmakers from Ukraine, Belarus and the Republic of Moldova.
