The federal point of contact mediates and coordinates supply and demand for newly arriving refugees from the Ukraine with disabilities and/or care needs. The aim of the “Bundeskontaktstelle” is to create transparency about the needs of refugees from Ukraine with disabilities and/or care needs, e.g. by collecting specific information around care needs and/or degrees of disability from the evacuating organizations before they arrive in Germany. Furthermore, it supports the 16 state coordination points in finding appropriate accommodation by forwarding the needs identified in advance to the states at an early stage.
