Doctors without Borders (MSF):
We are extremely concerned about the impact of the fighting on the people of Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of people have already been forced to flee as a result of the Russian military offensive. We had to suspend our regular programs in Ukraine – we are switching our work to emergency relief measures. We set off three trucks with material for the surgical care of many injured people. In Mariupol we have already delivered material for the treatment of the wounded. We are also in contact with clinics in eastern Ukraine and are willing to support them with training courses for the care of the injured. We have employees in the capital Kyiv and in other important cities like Zhytomyr and Severodonetsk. We are trying to bring more staff, including surgeons, to Ukraine.
