With a Ukrainian passport, public transportation is free in Leipzig and its surroundings. Your passport will be handled as a valid transportation ticket. This regulation applies to all regional trains and city transportation within Germany. You need either the “0-Euro-Tickets” ( as provided by Deutsche Bahn) or a valid Ukrainian passport.
